Craig Gross
As a young pastor in Southern California, Craig Gross began to notice a recurring theme among those he cared for - a struggle with pornography. Boldly and courageously, he decided to address the root of the problem, so he went to the porn industry to ask some questions. This passion led him to start XXXchurch.com, a website devoted to telling the truth about porn.
Join men, women, and leaders across the city of Calgary as we Expose the issue of pornography. It’s time! Let’s start the conversation.

Expose: a Pornography Awareness Conference
Recently, we invited members of the community to attend a focus group discussion on the topic of pornography. Over forty pastors, laypersons, counselors and youth workers attended to share experiences and perspectives while brainstorming the best ways to address this issue in our community.
What became clear was the fact that this is a pervasive problem throughout various age groups, denominations and ministries. Less clear was the best way to tackle this issue. While focuses vary, the desired result is to increase awareness and decrease the damage brought about by the widespread availability and use of pornography. Some ministries are already actively working in this area. The consensus? More needs to be done.
Currently, we speak to thousands of teenagers each year. In our workshops we have included a short segment to address the use of pornography as something that is harmful and potentially addictive. It is taught within the context of healthy sexuality and always brings up interesting discussion. We are in the process of developing an additional workshop on media influence. This will address all forms of media, not just pornography, but will be another way of teaching core competency skills, which include discernment, avoidance, and healthy media use.
Now here is where you can get involved. We are very excited to announce Expose a Pornography Awareness Conference, April 20 – 22, 2012 that we will be holding with the help of XXXchurch, a non-profit organization that exists to help people of all ages and offers programs to help with awareness, prevention and recovery. Over 600 churches worldwide have already participated in one of their awareness programs, and we are excited to host them in Calgary. Craig Gross, founder and pastor of XXXchurch, will be speaking to parents, teens, youth workers, ministry staff and laypeople. Craig is the author of many books, most recently, Pure Eyes and Eyes of Integrity and speaks to thousands of people worldwide.
To this end, we are asking churches and lay people to partner with us to make this event a success. We have many logistics to work out and will continue to keep you informed. We hope that you are as excited about this as we are. If you would hold this whole weekend in your prayers we would be most grateful. If you can partner with us financially, we would appreciate it.
